"I am an abstract artist who creates paintings that are intended to heal people's spiritual and emotional wounds. My spiritual gift is to intuit emotion and mood-based messages that come through communion with God. These messages often appear on the canvas as colors, symbols, and shapes. Each painting I create is intended for a specific person, whether I get to know them through the commission process or I create a painting that will eventually find them serendipitously. As I paint, I receive and interpret the person and their needs through feelings that become visual messages on the canvas.
My life’s journey has been about recognizing the need to preserve my own individuality, and is centered around desires to be joyful and feel spiritually whole. I hope my paintings bring others to also feel these things. I have a deep desire to love people and to connect to them through my artwork. My paintings represent the moods and emotions of their unique stories and circumstances, and are meant to divinely heal them through love, to remind them of their own unique personal strength, and the power of transformational healing." - Heather Eck

Over
the course of her lifetime, Heather Eck has answered the calling to
nurture and instill joy in those around her. As a clairsentient, one
with the psychic gift and ability to intuit information through clear
feeling, she is drawn to connect with people, helping them heal, feel
joy, and to live in their truth, all of which brings much of the same to
Heather since acknowledging her purpose-driven role of artist.
From
childhood, Heather formed a deep love for doodling and sketching and
had an innate ability to see and sense the world through color. Her
tendencies for forming human bonds and connections naturally swayed her
into career positions in which she served as both guide and counselor.
With a degree in Human Resources, Heather flourished in her HR roles in
the corporate world, even earning a certificate in International
Coaching. From one position to the next, the recurring patterns of
opportunity to bring joy and comfort served as a sign of things to come,
but also left Heather unfulfilled. She sought ways to express herself
creatively; playing guitar in coffee shops, writing poetry, and
participating in open mics. While Heather enjoyed these outlets, they
were devoid of deeper meaning and not enough to counter balance the
uniformity and restrictive paradigms, from clothing to language, that
she felt.
With
their young son, and hoping to exchange the pace of New York and New
Jersey, Heather and her husband moved to North Carolina in 2014. She
took an HR management position with Epic Games. There, surrounded by
creatives, and like the jobs that preceded, being close to creatives and
creativity served as “a cheat” for her own creative fulfillment. It
wasn’t until Heather’s friend and spiritual teacher Myrna opened
dialogue about path and purpose with Heather, telling her “...you’re an artist, art is your gift”
that Heather would awaken to the idea of serving others through art.
That same day, Heather embraced it, bought art supplies, and let the
metaphoric “steam out” to begin her work.
Today,
as a dedicated, full-time artist, Heather engages with clients and
viewers alike in deep and meaningful ways through her art. Her colorful
canvas paintings connect by color meaning to the 7 Chakras of the body
and are created from messages which she intuits from her own spirit
guide about the person for whom she creates. For the receiver, the
paintings are powerful, guidance about spiritual areas that require
healing and light, while they can also serve as a type of portrait of
one’s spiritual energy. Many of her paintings are also more loosely
about spiritual awakening and themed expressions of spiritual thought.
Heather
lives in Holly Springs with her husband and son. She creates
commissioned paintings and exhibits in venues around North Carolina.
